Konsep wall art ini berasal dari sebuah lagu yang berjudul “It is Well with My Soul” yang ditulis oleh Horatio Spafford (1828-1888), seorang pengacara kaya berasal dari Chicago yang kehilangan 4 orang anak perempuannya. Dalam kesedihannya, ia menulis lagu “It is Well with My Soul” yang merupakan ungkapan hatinya. Lagu ini telah mengangkat jutaan jiwa yang rapuh menjadi mempunyai pengharapan kepada Tuhan. Lagu ini dicompose oleh Bliss and Sankey, in 1876.
